Newly appointed Executive team at MFATT

The Mutual Fund Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MFATT) held its eighteenth Annual Meeting on the 30th July, 2026. The following Member Representatives were appointed to the Executive team for the 2026/2027 term of office:

Tricia Kissoon brings over 20 years of financial sector experience in Trinidad and Tobago, including over six years at the executive level, with a focus on brokerage, mutual funds, and insurance portfolios. Her purpose-driven, principles-led approach to delivering leading performance has established her as an expert in the investment field, grounded in deep insights into regional capital markets.

Tricia has held significant leadership roles, including serving as Director of the Securities Dealers Association of Trinidad and Tobago and Treasurer of the Mutual Funds Association of Trinidad and Tobago. In 2024, she received recognition as an IWF Fellow representing the International Women’s Forum of Trinidad and Tobago and was named a National Mentor for the 40 Under 40 Mentorship Program by the Ministry of Youth and National Service.

Tricia holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of the West Indies. She completed the IWF Transformative Leadership Program at Harvard Business School and the IWF-INSEAD Women’s Global Leadership Program at INSEAD Business School in 2024

Narisa holds the post of Vice President- Investments at Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited, responsible for developing, implementing and executing the investment strategy of Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited, its suite of mutual funds and group and client portfolios. She has more than 22 years of general banking, investment, sales, project management, portfolio management, capital markets and trading experience.

Narisa is a holder of an MBA in Finance from the Edinburgh Business School in the UK and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.

Pernel Roberts is Investment Manager at Republic Wealth Management Limited (RWML), where he oversees the management of pension plan and mutual fund assets. He joined RWML in 2019 and has held several investment-focused roles across the organization. Pernel also serves as President of CFA Society Trinidad & Tobago and is a part-time lecturer at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, teaching finance-related courses. Pernel holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Major) Accounting (Minor) Finance (Minor) with 1st Class Honours, from the University of the West Indies. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

MFATT is the representative body of mutual fund practitioners, spearheading the development and growth of the mutual fund industry in Trinidad and Tobago. By fostering high standards of professionalism and exemplary practice among members, the Association seeks to set the benchmark for professionals operating in the mutual fund arena.

JMMB Investments (T&T) Ltd volunteered to deliver the financial literacy presentation at the El Socorro TIA School on June 17th, 2025. The presentation was done by Charles Piralli.

We were informed by the school that the session was a resounding success. The children were engaged, enthusiastic, and truly enjoyed the experience. Their teacher was in high praise of Charles noting how effectively he adapted to the children’s level of understanding. His ability to simplify the material and present it in a fun and relatable way made a lasting impact.

We are deeply grateful for his contribution and support to MFATT’s mission of fostering financial education.
